Security Engineer

Chicago Only – hybrid, 3x/week

18 months to hire (could convert early)

Pay: $69- $74/hr

2 Interviews: Phone interview, then onsite for final *Mandatory*

- 3+ years of hands-on Disaster Recovery experience, including plan development, risk assessments, executing DR tests and communicating/coordinating with stakeholders

- 8+ years experience in information technology field.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align recovery strategies with industry standards to ensure continued business operations

- Working with technology teams to understand various components of application architecture

- Overseeing creation, documentation, and maintenance of detailed recovery plans

- Ensuring readiness during outages to automated/manual recovery

- Leading efforts to identify gaps, remediate and demonstrate by executing DR drills

- Working with Program Mgmt teams to ensure ongoing training and awareness programs to keep the procedures up to date

- Proven experience in risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery

- Proven experience handling large-scale complex systems from DR and resiliency perspective

- Proven experience in design and execution of data recovery plans

- Experience working with different OS (Linux, Windows, iOS), scripting, analyzing technical logs/data from Splunk or similar tools, some experience in SQL to analyze data
