Shubert currently owns and operates 17 Broadway theatres, six off-Broadway venues, and the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia.Shubert delivers innovative ticketing solutions via its Telecharge, API distribution, and private-label technology, offering unparalleled distribution and marketing to the theatre industry and beyond. Its consumer-facing brands-Telecharge for retail ticket sales and Broadway Inbound for tour operators and the travel industry-sell millions of tickets each year.JOB TITLE: Security OfficerSALARY: $23 per hour; following the successful completion of 90 days of employment, $27.97 per hourSCHEDULED HOURS: 4pm - midnight, five days per week including one weekend with variable days offESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Daily job responsibilities/functions to include, but not be limited to:- Check and secure the theatre at beginning and end of operations (make sure all doors are locked, turn off lights, check for unusual activity, etc)-Maintain a safe, secure and friendly lobby for guests- Check bags and personal items of patrons entering the theatre. Enforce food and liquid policies- Monitor and inspect the building frequently during open hours- Respond to security threats and Theater Management requests for assistance - Set up stanchions and other equipment as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Must be extremely reliable and punctual Must be resourceful and calm under pressure, with the ability to deal with unanticipated developmentsAbility to work flexible hoursAbility to lift 25 poundsMust be willing and to obtain a security guard license (training will be provided). Current or previous security guard license holder a plus.Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Membership in Local 32BJ is required (non-members must apply upon hire).
