Security Guard - Great Plains Regional Medical Center : Job Details

+ Mission+ To inspire health and healing by putting patients first - ALWAYS.+ Position Summary+ The Security Guard assumes responsibility and accountability for actions, which include, but are not limited to: Security Guard provides general security duties for the protection of the hospital, its property, staff and visitors. Responds to and reports unusual conditions.+ Minimum Qualifications+ Education+ High school degree or equivalent required. Credentials+ Credentials+ BLS required. Completion of CPI training required.+ Physical Demands+ Stand and/or walk constant.+ Lift 50 pounds floor to waist occasionally.+ Climb ladder and/or 26 steps occasionally.+ Bend frequently.+ Eye-hand coordination within normal limits.+ Essential Functions+ Responds to Codes, Gray, Blue, and Pink. Red, Silver, Orange and Yellow and other security incidents when requested.+ Tests levels of security on a regular basis to ensure adequate security is being maintained.+ Notes observed operational or maintenance discrepancies and communicates information to maintenance staff for correction. This includes parking lot lights, exterior building lights, and other safety related hazards.+ Assists staff with patient escorts, lift assists and deliveries.+ Demonstrates safety and competent use of equipment. Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties.+ Ability to observe and correct unsafe conditions before a problem arises. Knowledge of hospital safety and security policies and procedures preferred.+ Ability to work with intoxicated, hostile or uncooperative persons required.
