Provides security for San Poil TreatmentCenter, buildings and property through patrol of building(s) and building perimeters, including parking lots, to prevent unauthorized visitors or property damage and to provide for general building security.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Training:
- High School Diploma or GED and 3-6 months of experience (preferred) which demonstrates knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Requires a valid driver's license and to be eligible for the Tribes' vehicle insurance.
- Maintain license and insurance eligibility throughout employment.
- Requires a First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Requires a negative TB test within 15 days of hire.
- Receives Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and de-escalation training during course of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of security systems, fire sprinkler systems, fire response procedures (including use of fire extinguishers) and safety procedures.
- Requires knowledge in basic first aid and CPR.
- Requires good communication and public relations skills.
- Requires knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
- Requires familiarity with report writing.
- Requires excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Requires tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems.
- Requires knowledge of the physical location and layout of Tribal facilities.
- Requires knowledge of law enforcement methods such as patrolling, investigating and observing activity.
- Requires knowledge of laws, rules and regulations governing action on Tribal property.
- Requires knowledge of the proper methods and procedures used in making investigations, analyzing findings and implementing corrective action.
- Requires the ability to carry out all aspects of the position and analyze situations quickly and objectively to recognize actual and potential dangers and determine proper course of action.
- Requires the ability to read and understand laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
- Requires the ability to use a computer.
- Requires the ability to read and write in English and prepare reports.

- Requires near visual acuity to write and to read printed materials and computer screens and to observe moving objects at a distance such as observe persons and operate a vehicle.
- Requires sufficient arm-hand-eye coordination to operate a computer keyboard and pointing devises at a proficient level.

- Requires the ability to lift, push, and pull objects of medium weight (less than 50 lbs.) on an occasional basis.

- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to render first aid.
- Requires willingness to work flexible/shift hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Requires the ability to drive in adverse weather conditions.
