Job DescriptionIf you're a dedicated observer with a calm demeanor and a knack for keeping people safe, we want you on our team! Cherokee Casino Grove is looking for guardian angels in disguise to join our Security Team and deal a winning hand of safety for every guest and employee.Responsibilities
  • Protect guests, employees, and the company's physical assets from harm, reporting any safety hazards.
  • Stop guests carrying prohibited items from entering, and politely but firmly address those violating policies, ensuring everyone plays by the rules.
  • Keep a watchful eye over the bustling casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, deterring mischief before it can strike.
  • Assist guests and employees in need, from lost souls to medical emergencies. Perform CPR and first aid like a skilled knight, providing comfort and security.
  • Observe guest and employee behavior for suspicious activity, alerting leadership like a stealthy fox.
  • Maintain detailed written reports of incidents, documenting every twist and turn with precision.
  • Ensure responsible entertainment by verifying guest IDs and upholding the company's age requirements.
  • Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal activities, and daily patrols, painting a clear picture with every word.
  • Guide employees through secure areas and assist with entry into gaming machines, ensuring everyone moves safely and efficiently.
  • Interview witnesses, gather signatures, and comply with legal regulations like a seasoned detective.
Qualifications
  • We're looking for someone with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of experience in a similar role.
  • State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) unarmed security guard license is required within 180 days of hire.
  • CPR certification
  • A valid driver's license is essential for ensuring swift response and assistance across properties.
  • Be prepared for a vibrant atmosphere with exposure to smoke, noise, and bright lights.
  • This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
