SECURITY GUARD (VERGENNES, VT) - Insight Global : Job Details

The job entails campus monitoring, including patrolling and managing entry/exit points. The individual will conduct searches, operate metal detectors, and ensure no contraband is brought onto the premises. They are also responsible for scanning visitor IDs, using wands for security checks, and inspecting students luggage post-weekend passes. While they perform daily perimeter checks and monitor during breaks, they do not engage in physical interventions but focus on crowd control and calling the police if needed. The role requires a non-confrontational presence that aids and ensures student safety. The campus features an open layout with amenities similar to a college campus such as open spaces, a cafeteria, general gathering areas, recreational rooms, and dormitories , and security includes the use of golf carts, keycard access, and camera surveillance.
