We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Security Officer II to join our 3rd Shift Security team at Chisholm Trail Casino. Summary: Guards and monitors facility, people and grounds to prevent theft, violence or other loss of security. Provides full security services including active patrols, situation de-escalation, apprehension, guarding facility entrances or specific locations, escorting patrons, escorting and monitoring drop team and money carts, preparing reports and some administrative functions such as filing, sorting, organizing, phone calls, data entry and report tracking. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Responsibilities: • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types. • Greets and engages with a smile. • Determines and meets needs. • Seeks positive experience and outcomes. • Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner • Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made. • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities. • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types. • Shares responsibilities for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment. • Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment. • Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and risks. • Maintains and promotes professionalism. • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards. • May provide break coverage for others as assigned. • May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit. • Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g., MICS, TICS, etc. • Maintains files, logs, and records. • Communicates via radio per division and position protocols. • Communicates with other team members, departments, guests and management. • Shares general and important information. • Listens to others. • Follows divisional, departmental and organizational protocols. • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information. • Prepares incidents reports. • Monitors and ensures the safety of guests, employees and tribal assets based on assigned duty station. • May guard facility entrances - controlling access and alarming others as necessary. • Escorts patrons or guests • Escorts/monitors drop team and money carts when assigned to gaming facility. • May prepare temporary visitor IDs. • Responds to security breaches. • Executes internal and external patrols of assigned areas and locations. • Monitors opening and closing machines for routine repairs and maintenance when assigned to gaming facility. • Follows guidelines to protect guests and employees in emergency situations such as inclement weather, fire, active shooter, etc. • Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff, direct supervisor or next level manager. • All other duties as assigned. Competencies: • Follow instructions, written or oral. • Ensures compliance. • Adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements. • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters. • Ability to handle difficult customers and situations. • Must be detail oriented. • Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Read, understand and apply regulations and policies. • Builds effective working relationships. • Communicates verbally with team, departments, guests and managementSkills: • Essential: Basic Computer skills and must be able to operate basic office equipment • Nonessential: Proficient in use and non-use of firearms Experience: • Nonessential: 1 year directly related experience preferred, ex: Security, Law Enforcement or MilitaryEducation: • Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials: • Essential: * Must be over 21 years old * Pass gaming background check to obtain gaming licensing * Valid standard Driver's LicenseWorking Conditions: • Team-oriented • Night shift • Weekends and Holidays • Cigarette smoke present • Casino / Entertainment environment: Bright and flashing lights, Noisy / ringing bells and crowds • Potentially dangerous situations: De-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations, may have to subdue violators. • Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach and climb stairs. • May be required to run. • Standing up to 100% of shift • Walk up to 75% of shift. • Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp. • Visual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perception • Listening and hearing ability via hand-held radios, radio earpiece and phone • Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs. • Mix of office/non-office settings, Use computer up to 25% of shift.
