Job DescriptionJob Summary:Shift: 7p-7a. Conceal and Carry required.Provide an environment in which all patients, visitors, and staff are safe and secure. Patrol main facility and ancillary buildings both inside and outside. Monitor for safety hazards and take corrective action as required. Investigate and take appropriate action for any accident, incident, or event that is not routine in the normal daily operations of the hospital, which supports department goals and strategic plan.Essential Job Duties:
Provide a safe environment for patient, visitors and staff. By checking all doors using the CN3 system. Checking for locked and unlocked doors. Responds to all Fire, External Disaster, Bomb, Tornado, Radiation, Toxic Cloud, Hostage, Civil Disturbance, Pink Alert, Combative Patients, Code Strong and other emergencies or drills. Inspect all hospital facilities including parking lots and other ancillary buildings and properties for fire or safety hazards. Assist in the control of disorderly or combative patients, visitors, or staff. Escort visitors and employees to and from parking lots upon request. Skill & Abilities: For employees designated to drive hospital vehicles or personal vehicles of hospital patrons, possession of a current valid driver's license in the state of employee's residence with no evidence of unsafe driving is required. Contributes to a high performance work environment by Attending meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Other duties or special projects as assigned.Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:
Take temperature readings of freezers and refrigerators in Food Service. Take humidity and temperature readings in various areas as requested by Engineering.QualificationsJob Specifications:
- Education: Associate Degree in Law Enforcement preferred
- Experience: Two years in Security or Law Enforcement
