Take advantage of our tuition assistance and scholarship programs to grow both personally and professionally.Security Guard Position SummaryResponsible for carrying out the program of the Medical Center by maintaining a safe, secure condition in and around the hospital buildings, and grounds and protection of patients, employees, visitors, and their property.Security Guard Position Requirements* New Hires: Must complete 80 hours of training mandated by the Maryland State Police within one year of hire and be commissioned as a Special Police Officer in Maryland within one year of hire.* Ongoing training: 12 hours of in-service mandated by Maryland State Police every 2 years before renewal of Maryland State Police.Education* High School Graduate or G.E.D.Experience* One-year prior experience in law enforcement, fire or security related job preferred.* Must be able to successfully undergo a comprehensive background and character investigation.* Valid driver's license and verification of insurability under Peninsula Regional Medical Center's automobile insurance plan.* American Heart CPR certification.Security Guard Benefits* At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.* Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union.
