Job DetailsJob Ref:R0073131 Category:Security & Screening Employment Type:Full-Time Location:75 Park St, Elizabethtown, NY 12932 Department:ECH - Transport Job Type:Regular Primary Shift:Eve/Night-12hr Hours:6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Hours per Week: 40 Weekend Needs:Every Other Pay Rate: $22.37 - $33.56 per hourJOB DESCRIPTIONThe primary responsibilities of the Security Officer are to conduct patrols within and outside the facility, respond immediately to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and document services provided for each shift. Other responsibilities include:* Contribute to the preservation of life, protection of property and overall safety of the campus for employees, visitors, and patients* Conducting thorough and fair investigations into any/all inappropriate activity* Provide education and guidance (as needed) to staff, visitors and patients around reducing their likelihood of becoming victims of violence* Ability and willingness to operate and monitor any employer supplied security equipment* All Security staff must be available for short notice call-in, in the event of an emergency* Maintain a high level of confidentiality for all patient PHI (Protected Health Information)EDUCATION* High School diplomaEXPERIENCE* Previous Law Enforcement or Security experience preferred* Successful completion of all related eligibility requirements for employment* Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions* Good Communication Skills* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to evolving situationsUpon hire, the Officer must complete following employer provided trainings:* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire* Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) de-escalation training within 3 months of hire* Any other Healthcare Security and Safety trainings required for employment by the employer
