POSITION DETAILSDepartment: Employee Public Safety Location: US:PA:Lewisburg Typical Work Schedule: Nights (12am-8am, weekdays and weekends) Primary Shift: Shift 3 Work Type: 1.0 FTE (full-time, 80 hours biweekly) Exempt: NoSUMMARY Maintains the safety and security of the Hospital properties and campuses, patients, visitors and employees. Conducts routine patrols of the property to keep persons from risk. Primary emphasis is placed on the protection of life and assets, prevention of loss, reduction of the risk of crime.QUALIFICATIONS 1. Requires high school graduation or equivalent. 2. One year of experience in the security field preferred. Previous military, institutional or local police experience preferred. 3. Within 6 months of employment, achieve the IAHSS Healthcare Officer Basic certification and the designated workplace violence training course such as AVADE. 4. Required to successfully complete training provided by Hospital certified instructors within 30 days of hire in the areas of Taser CEW, Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT), and Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH). 5. Driving a company vehicle (or personal vehicle, as required) is a requirement of this position, and as a condition of employment this position requires the job holder to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record. a. Valid PA driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance coverage required. b. Driving records are obtained prior to new hire starting and are checked intermittently as needed but not less than every three years. 6.
