The candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalency. Pass a background check, and drug screen, and interview process.The primary responsibility of the Main Gate Security Officer is to control vehicular access/egress through the operations gate in accordance with the following prescribed procedures:* Greet all incoming traffic. Approach each vehicle in a friendly and courteous manner. An effort should be made to include quests, residents and/or employee names.* Contractors will be stopped to check to see if they have a contractor pass that is current. After verifying that pass is not expired contractor may proceed. If contractor does not have a pass one will be issued to them when proper paperwork is provided. The required paperwork is a valid driver license, valid insurance card and vehicle registration.* All other vehicle will be stopped and logged in with the following information: Name, Destination, including numerical address (if going to a residents home), Plate number, and vehicle description. After logging them in issue a visitor pass.* Check out keys to authorized persons having them sign for the keys on the appropriate key log.* Maintain all logs and reports in a current status.* Answer telephone promptly and according to telephone protocol.* Assist guests and visitors with directions.* Maintain good housekeeping inside the Security building and the outside perimeter of the Security building (this will be the responsibility of the night shift).* Be alert, aware and responsive to any event or situation that you feel may jeopardize the security of Glade Springs. If you feel unsure, or are unable to handle the situation, contact you're Chief of Security or the Manager on Duty for assistance.* Familiarize yourself with the phase one and property owners association by-laws.* The Main Gate Officer will keep radio log of any security radio traffic. This is to include all reports of unsecured property, vehicles of interest, unauthorized persons, request for law enforcement or medical emergencies as reported by patrol officers. The Main Gate Officer will give times from computer display in a 24hr clock format.
