The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. In this role, you will be on your feet for extended periods, responding to aid calls and incidents as a first responder, so First Aid/CPR certification is essential. If you do not already have, Securitas will provice for you! You should be tech-savvy, able to navigate client computer systems, and demonstrate the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Confidence and sound judgment are key, as you will be expected to lead effectively. Officers may deal with customers, contractors, issue badges, field phone calls, and control access to the facility, among other duties. Officer may be required to patrol for up to 4 hours per shift. Officer must be comfortable walking and standing for long periods of time.Required skills:• This position involves patrolling a 72-acre facility, with each patrol taking up to 4 hours to complete. Walking and standing for extended periods is essential.• The role requires strong leadership skills, self-confidence, and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.• Candidates must be willing to provide first aid and CPR, as security personnel will be the first responders to any incidents or aid calls.• The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential.• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable security experience is required.• Candidates should be comfortable learning new and existing client computer systems.• A California driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary for operating a vehicle on site, if required.With over 80 years of protecting the things that matter, we've seen more than most.
