As specified by procedure and the site security plan, maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress and employee, contractor and visitor entry. Perform search, patrol, and inspections in accordance with the Station Security Plan, procedures, and post orders. Primary Duties and AccountabilitiesMaintain qualifications for positionConduct patrols and inspectionsMonitor access to security areasPerform search activitiesRespond to threats and contingency eventsPerform equipment testingProvide physical protection of Exelon nuclear generating facilities against intrusion and acts of sabotage.Conduct armed stationary, foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Control access and/or egress of personnel, materials and vehicles.Monitor CCTV, plant surveillance equipment and alarm systems.Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations.Perform other duties as specified in nuclear training and qualification plan and post orders.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMinimum QualificationsPass Any State required training or other qualifications for licensingBe at least 21 years of ageHave a High School diploma or GEDHave a valid Driver's LicenseYou must be able to pass a drug and test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)Be able to pass extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and educational verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and Credit CheckPass a State licensing test, as you will be driving a company owned vehicleBe able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors and surveillance equipmentBe able to successfully complete all training required for the positionDemonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the publicPass the following, post-offer in accordance with code of federal regulations for armed nuclear security assignment: MMPI psychological testing physical exams, including vision and hearing, in accordance with nuclear regulatory requirements and site training and qualification plan:Physical fitness (agilities) test in accordance with site training and qualification planFirearms qualification with rifle per client site training and qualification plan.Nuclear site-specific training and testing providing general knowledge of nuclear power generation science and principles, this training and testing will include radiation worker principles including respirator training, fit and dress out Preferred QualificationsIndividuals with prior MilitaryCurrent/Prior Law Enforcement or Criminal JusticePrior Commercial Security/Loss Prevention experience will receive preferential consideration for these vacancies
