Job Overview:

  • Pay: $22 hourly, non-exempt

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Prior experience working with youth in after-school and evening programs is preferred
  • Security license is not required, but preferred
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and various databases
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Experience in word processing, database computer software programs, and the Internet
Key Responsibilities:Security Responsibilities:
  • Search all participants and visitors before entering the building
  • Search all bags of participants and visitors before entering the building
  • Escorting heightened individuals out of the building
  • Intervene in conflicts inside or in front of the building involving participants or guests
  • Ensure no loitering in front of or in the lobby of the building
  • Confiscate any weapons or contraband brought into the building and inform Supervisor immediately
  • Escort participants between program sites as needed
  • Ensure only authorized people pick up participants
Reception Responsibilties:
  • Answer a multi-line telephone system
  • Manage and route phone calls, mail, and faxes
  • Ensure visitors sign in and out of the building
  • Ensure check-in and sign-out of all program participants
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for all program participants
  • Enter attendance into various databases or worksheets as needed
  • Assist with general inquiries
  • Complete incident reports
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

  • Ability to lift up to 5 pounds
