Job Title: Security Specialist Locations: Goodwill North Central Texas4005 Campus Drive, Fort Worth, Texas Salary: Starting $16 per hourWork Hours: Full Time, Non-exempt. This position requires availability for overnight shifts, generally from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays as needed. This shift offers three days off each week. Benefits: Company paid basic term life, Paid Time Off, voluntary medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and 401(k) General Job Duties: Monitor and conduct regular foot patrol of assigned areas to detect suspicious behavior or hazards. Respond to alarms and emergencies promptly; help raise security awareness and support efforts to prevent theft and take appropriate action. Coordinate with store management, departments such as HR and Safety teams, law enforcement, fire departments, and medical personnel in the event of an emergency as needed. Ensure safety rules and best practices are followed when store staff are merchandising products, and the environment is safe for employees, clients and customers. Provide safety training to others when directed by supervisor or Department Head. Manage entry/exit points to prevent unauthorized access to buildings or restricted areas, be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and locations of first aid supplies and equipment. Document daily activities by maintaining daily logs, reports, and summaries to document any incidents. Report incidents within 2 hours, if they occur. Operate surveillance equipment like CCTV cameras to monitor activity on the premises, investigate issues to identify criminal behavior or disturbances and gather evidence at the direction of the Department Head. Drive the Agency vehicle to complete Safety business needs. Report accidents or injuries in a timely manner. Maintain a professional appearance and keep uniforms in good condition. Other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications: Must hold CPR and First Aid certifications or obtain one within 90 days of starting the position. Provide First Aid and CPR, when necessary. Excellent observation, communication, critical thinking and customer service skills. Must have the ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail for the duration of the shift. Ability to work with team members with disabilities and the disadvantaged. Ability to make good decisions and remain calm in high-pressure situations. Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings, safety policies and attend safety meetings. Physical Requirements: Must have own transportation and the ability to travel to corporate or other locations as requested This position requires the incumbent to have communication capabilities, via cell phone and / or Smartphone technology. May be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work a rotating schedule, which may include overnight, weekends and holiday assignments. Must be able to communicate clearly with employees, clients and customers. Legal Requirements: Documentation to satisfy I-9. Ability to pass drug screen, physical, background check and Motor Vehicle Report.
