General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Seed Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the area seed objectives. This will involve facilitating the sales of proprietary seed products as well as preferred supplier brands of corn, soybeans, cotton, and sorghum. The Seed Operations Specialist will support the Regional Seed Manager in executing the seed strategy to the area seed sales teams. Key Skills and Abilities Include: Degree in Agricultural Business preferred or related experience.Will consider other degrees with related operations experience.Knowledge of corn, soybean, sorghum, and alfalfa production is desired.Have knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and stewardship requirements for various technology products.Strong operational background with good working knowledge of systems and standard industry practices. Solid communication skills both written and verbal.Demonstrated skill in data entry and program execution.Knowledge of computer software and internet to generate reports and inventory data.Ability to lift 50 pounds and run a forklift. Key Personal Attributes Include: Possess exceptional follow-through skills.Build/maintain strong relationships with seed sales team, customers, and key market influencers.Work effectively within a team environment.Understands the needs and values of the seed sales teams and to develop solutions to meet objectives.Be results driven, overcoming obstacles & finding creative solutions.Work independently with minimum supervision.Work in and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment. Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Provide support and focus to the overall seed and seed treatment business across the assigned area.Order seed from suppliers based on inputted customer orders by the sales team in assigned area.Process customer prepays using company software.Support the sales team with logistics and inventory management for the assigned area.Invoice seed to customer using company software.Assist sales team with replant and return programs.Assist sales team in completing all account reconciliation process stepsAssist with Grower meetings as needed.Work directly with customers to answer billing account questions and resolve customer financial complaints.Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve area goals.Operate forklift to unload and load packages of seed.Will also include assisting in warehouse organize and cleaning. Compensation and Benefits: In compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $21.83 - $27.31 per hour.Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
