Job Description
Job Summary :
Performs wafer fabrication functions in the production of semiconductor devices. Operates equipment in performing alignment, masking, etch, coating, and plating. In senior and highly skilled levels, performs equipment set-up and calibration, and may perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
Operate computer-based manufacturing equipment to process wafers that meet production and quality goals in a cleanroom environment
Follow procedures for the quality management system (QMS) and identify quality issues
Perform set-up, calibration, preventive maintenance, and SPC tasks on wafer fabrication equipment as required
Maintain a clean work area including safe handling of hazardous chemicals (solvents, acids, etc.), removing trash, cleaning up the cleanroom, etc.
Interface with engineers and support development efforts by processing wafers and components as instructed
Perform other duties as required
Job Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
1 - 2 years of related experience
Demonstrated computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications
Other Qualifications :
2 - 4 years of related experience preferred
Experience with safe handling of hazardous or volatile chemicals preferred
Working Conditions :
Able to lift and move loads up to 40 pounds
Able to work from a standing position for 3-5 hours per shift or sitting for 4-8 hours daily
Able and willing to work on evening shift (primarily) and/or day shift, including some weekday and weekend overtime when required
Able and willing to work in a clean room environment, which requires special protective-outer garments (provided by the company) to maintain cleanliness in the workspace and comply with clean room protocol. Area will be temperature controlled (average temperature 70-degrees F).
