As the Senior Accountant, you will partner with the CFO and other executive leaders to oversee the financial management of the organization. You will take full ownership over all Accounting close processes to ensure accuracy, compliance and meet company goals for growth as well as gain mentorship from the CFO to grow into the Accounting Manager over time. This position is an instrumental part in helping the company grow to be one of the largest distribution channels for F500 organizations around the world.

Client Details

I'm partnered with the CFO at a multi-million dollar leading distribution company. Our client is experiencing immense company growth and operational expansion through key strategic initiatives. Due to this growth, they are now looking to find a Senior Accountant to join their team near Burbank, IL to take ownership over the month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other daily accounting functions.

Description

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures and perform necessary accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
  • Monitor cash flow, including cash inflows and outflows, and manage working capital. Make recommendations for cash flow optimization and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure proper classification and coding of financial transactions. Review and reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting
  • CPG or distribution industry experience a plus
  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and other regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Key attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
