The Senior Accountant, Global Accounting and Reporting, is a key part of the Controllership team, responsible for managing the general accounting processes within a dynamic, global organization. This client operates in the education technology industry, working to revolutionize learning by leveraging innovative technology solutions to improve educational outcomes.
Description
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and perform in-depth analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist with managing the general ledger system, including reviews of security and integrity.
- Support internal controls and participate in periodic audits, preparing audit schedules as needed.
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with treasury, tax, FP&A, and operational teams to streamline reporting processes.
- Perform monthly close processes and generate relevant reports.
- Handle special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, US GAAP, and management reporting processes.
- Experience with multiple currencies across various legal entities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Peoplesoft) and financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos) is preferred.
- Experience with Blackline is a plus.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and able to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
