iWorld Professionals is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the finance team of a growing national company based in Rochester NY. This is a hybrid position in Rochester NY. Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager by preparing, analyzing, and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate coop income reporting.
• Take charge and lead the month-end processes, reviewing and finalizing journal entries and financial close processes maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance using GAAP standards.
• Prepare key financial reports and account reconciliations, and resolve variances with precision while adhering to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Drive Process Improvements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes and make recommendations for improvements, contributing to our culture of continuous development.
• Work closely with various departments, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of financial reports and cooperative income data.

Senior Accountant Requirements: Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field, with 3-5 years of accounting experience. Equivalent education and experience combinations will also be considered.

• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with high technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to manage large datasets and complex spreadsheets.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Work with a team spirit across multiple departments and with outside vendors.Work collaboratively with strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in hybrid Rochester NY.
