Senior Accountant - RecruitMilitary Placement Services : Job Details

As a Senior accountant will work on and manage the financial activities of the corporation (management companies) and review the administrator's work, including workpapers and financial statement reports for the fund entities.They are looking for someone with experience as an accountant who can oversee and consult with the Fund Administrator and Auditors.You will work closely with deal professionals on management company components including expenses, cash, and cash flow monitoring and, deal support and reporting. You will also review all fund level workpapers, financial statements, partner capital statements and governmental agency reports.You will also supply support for investor relations - email correspondence, investor confirmation review/preparation, manage response for investor queries. You will prepare the management company books and records including: - Book entries and prepare trial balances and financial statements for management company entities- Review, analyze, and code expense submissions- Track deal and vendor expenses- Manage and maintain Intercompany balances and reporting - Support finance team with ad hoc requests.You will also assist with cash management functions including:- Wire preparation- Cash analyses, budget, and projections- Expense/bill payments,- Line of credit support and complianceThey need a candidate who is detailed oriented, with strong accounting skills with excellent analytical and organizational and multitasking skills. You will also need to show you have strong written and verbal communication skills.This is a Monday-Friday position that reports into the office in NYC each day. You may be able to work most Fridays from home once you are trained and up to speed.Salary is based on experience + discretionary bonus that is decided at the end of the year. Great benefits plan.
