Our client, a luxury fashion brand located in New York City, NY, is seeking a Senior Accountant on a temporary basis to assist with a Sales Tax Audit as well as month and year end closings.The qualified Accountant will possess their CPA and prior audit experience.***This role will be in office. ***Responsibilities:Manage the completion of New York State sales tax audit – gathers audit support, vendor outreachSupport the annual audit – preparing reconciliations and gathering audit supportPreparation of month-end accounting reconciliationsSupport the month-end financial close including month-end closing processesExperience and Qualifications:Accounting Degree with experience in USGAAP3 - 5 years of experience, a mix of private and Big Four preferredMicrosoft Office proficient with advanced skills in ExcelFashion/Apparel industry experience preferred but not requiredOther Skills:Good verbal and written communication skillsHigh level of moral and ethical integrityAbility to adapt to change quickly and easily and can shift approach in response to the demands of the situationAbility to work independently as well as work well in teamsMust be a team player
