Job Title: Sr. Accountant
Job Description
+ Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
+ Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
+ Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
+ Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
+ Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFOs attention.
+ Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
+ Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, and other applicable taxes.
+ Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
+ Support month-end and year-end close processes.
+ Provide financial analysis and support for special projects as needed.
+ Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
+ Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
+ Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.
Hard Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
+ Strong understanding of GAAP principles
+ Cost Accounting 3 years experience
Soft Skills
+ Self Sufficient
+ Ability to internally communicate cross functionally

+ This is a 6 month contract-to-hire.
