Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced company. This role is integral to our financial team and will be responsible for handling a variety of complex accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Conduct monthly and annual closing activities, including preparation of journal entries and accruals.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of fixed assets.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, providing forecasts and analyzing variances.
  • Conduct monthly reporting activities, providing detailed financial updates to senior management.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end audit materials and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Continuously improve systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financials, income statement, monthly reporting, A/R, entries, manufacturing accounting, balance sheet, monthly, year-end close, fixed assets, accruals, annual budget, and cash flow.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial information to non-financial staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and systems.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
