Objective:
The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the company's financial records, maintain fixed asset schedules, and ensure the seamless integration and reconciliation of our client's inventory management software with the accounting system. This role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the company's growth.
Senior Accountant Duties:
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage the complete accounting cycle, ensuring the books are closed by the 10th business day each month and providing financial results to the CFO.
- Reconciliations: Oversee all reconciliations, including bank accounts, customer deductions, and the inventory management system.
- Support A/P and A/R: Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff in their daily duties.
- Policy and Procedure Maintenance: Ensure that accounting procedures and protocols are up-to-date and effective.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and to process accounting transactions.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the purchasing and inventory teams to monitor inventory levels and analyze shortages.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Maintain weekly cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability.
- Budget Alignment: Ensure actual expenses align with budgeted categories.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a fast learner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining accounting issues to management.
