Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Accountant for a Syracuse, NY office.Carrier Enterprise is a joint venture between Watsco and Carrier. Carrier Enterprise distributes Carrier, Bryant and Payne residential and light commercial HVAC equipment products throughout the U.S. Sunbelt, Latin America and the Caribbean. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior II Accountant position is responsible for functioning in a professional and knowledgeable manner. This position is an experienced level position that reports directly to the Accounting Manager.RESPONSIBLITIES/DUTIES:
- Record various Incentive program accruals, Incentive Trip accruals and true-ups; Maintain the Incentive Trip contracts.
- Responsible for the Self-Insured Warranty Reserves.
- Perform Bi-weekly Standard Cost Updates.
- Summarize the Physical Inventory results, prepare required true-ups and recurring entries to the Shrink Reserve.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Significant involvement in month-end closing process.
- Identify and manage projects to drive process improvements.
- Assist with Internal and External Audit requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of experience; CPA Preferred.
- Extensive hands-on experience with the responsibilities/duties listed above.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with regard to the information that is processed.
- Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other corporate team members and operational team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
