Job DetailsResponsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department and ensure that all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, both internal and external.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Coordinate with tax accountants to ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status of the company.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Provide input into department's goal setting process.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or public accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Expertise in creating financial statements and in general ledger functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Proactive in identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
