JOB SUMMARYUnder the general direction of the Site Leader, directs and/or coordinates Production, Materials, and Quality activities for the assigned product. The primary function is to produce and deliver quality products on time and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. This role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of manufacturing operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervisory ResponsibilitiesManages a team of staff including:
- Accounts Payable Analyst who is responsible for invoice processing, cash disbursements, and cash disbursement forecast preparation.
- Accounts Receivable Analyst who is responsible for cash receipts, billing, collections, and cash receipt forecast preparation.
- Accounting Analyst who is responsible for preparing recurring journal entries and reconciliations, cost rolls, and various data analysis tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implements internal controls and guidelines for processes and to ensure day-to-day transactions are recorded properly and monthly financial needs are accurate
- Business partner responsible for financial reporting such as backlog revenue, overall monthly business reviews, other forecasting
- Serves as the Accounting Lead for the Rochester site, ensuring accounting accuracy, collaborating with the local team, and coordinating with Genpact to maintain seamless operations.
- Analyzing and submitting business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Prepares and reviews financial transactions to ensures that the reported results comply with reporting standards
- Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition
- Coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit
- Continuously work on short- and long-term objectives which streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software
- Provides financial support to the Rochester site, addressing operational needs and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
- Travel up to 25% of the time to either the Rochester or Palmyra plant, depending on the candidate's location, to provide financial support and address operational needs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESKNOWLEDGE - Accounting Principles: Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Financial Analysis: Expertise in analyzing financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- ERP and Financial Systems: Strong understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and accounting software.
- Regulations and Compliance: Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements related to finance and accounting.
- Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with production, materials, and quality management in a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS - Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop a team, including performance evaluations and conflict resolution.
- Analytical Thinking: Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.

- Technology Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and financial systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEEducation - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
Experience - Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of production, materials, and quality management processes.
- Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and financial systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
- Demonstrated success in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for senior management and stakeholders.
- Previous involvement in process improvement initiatives and leveraging technology for operational efficiencies.
