Overview:

This role has the ability to work in a hybrid environment, working from home and reporting into the New York City office a minimum of three days a week. Typical in-office schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Foot Locker, Inc. is hiring a Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting & Reporting to join our Finance and Accounting team! The position requires an accounting background and supports the Corporate Reporting function in the preparation of the consolidation financial statements, financial statement analysis, and certain footnote disclosures for annual and interim reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission. This position will also support our financial system transformation project. The internal title for this role will be Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Reporting.

Corporate Office - New York 330 West 34th Street New York, New York 10001 Responsibilities:
  • Completion of various monthly account reconciliations and analysis of account activity
  • Completion of various month-end reporting functions, such as: creation of reports, recording journal entries and analytical reviews
  • Ensure results are fairly stated in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Assist in preparation of workpapers supporting the financial sections of the annual and quarterly reports
  • Support the Finance team on transition to a new general ledger and reporting system by assisting with data validation and standing up new reports for quarterly deliverables
  • Aid the team with certain budgeting and forecasting tasks for Corporate related cost centers
  • Ad hoc accounting and reporting projects as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience (preferred some part within a public accounting firm)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e. Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills, this individual must be self-starter
  • Detail oriented with ability to understand the whole process
  • Demonstrated experience working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be willing to work extended hours during peak periods

Benefits:

The annual base salary range is $65000 - $75000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below:
