About the Role

This role is a Senior Analyst level position on the Real Assets Investment Team at Jordan Park. The candidate will focus on supporting the Real Assets investment team which invests in both real estate and infrastructure. The Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to learn from and work directly with senior members of our team. In addition, the Senior Analyst will get exposure to other parts of our investment business such as private equity, venture capital, credit, and emerging markets. Responsibilities for the role include:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Model and evaluate new investment opportunities. Investments will primarily be in the Real Assets space (real estate, infrastructure, agriculture, and related areas). Investments will span both direct investments, co-investments, and fund investments.
  • Apply investment judgment to screen and triage incoming investment opportunities, deciding which are worth deeper consideration.
  • Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums for potential real asset investments to be presented to the investment committee. Each memorandum will include a detailed written report outlining the investment opportunity, financial analysis, and supporting exhibits to substantiate the investment thesis.
  • Communicate effectively to manage relationships with investment partners, vendors and service providers, clients, and internal colleagues.
  • Conduct research and outbound networking to identify and source new opportunities.
  • Manage and monitor existing investments; help to make decisions on asset management and disposition strategies.
  • Collaborate with other investment team colleagues as required on a variety of investment-related special projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external legal and operations colleagues to design and optimize investment structures and facilitate smooth investment operations and administration.
  • Meet with clients to communicate about investment strategies and answer questions.
  • Occasionally review and offer high level thoughts on client-sourced or client-owned investments.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical or scientific discipline from a highly regarded institution; advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience and familiarity with direct private investments and investment modeling, ideally including real assets exposure. Experience with funds and fund managers is a plus.
  • Open to considering graduates from real estate Master's programs completing their degree in 2025.
  • Strong ability to think independently and be self-directed in a busy and rapidly evolving work environment. Ability to be a self-starter, assess priorities, and adjust workflow accordingly.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage several projects and initiatives in parallel.
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in professional communication with clients and investment partners.
  • Flexibility: ability to accommodate meetings and travel on relatively short notice as required to meet with investment partners, clients, and colleagues; willingness to occasionally work long hours when required by time-sensitive special projects.
  • Strong desire to learn and grow as an investment professional; desire to work with a team of like-minded colleagues.

About You

  • Have investment experience at a PE/VC firm, real estate investment or development firm, investment bank, family office, foundation, endowment, investment consultant, or other relevant investment firm
  • Have a strong interest in investments and portfolio management
  • Have strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Are highly detail-oriented, accurate and self-motivated, but also able to see the “big picture”
  • Are able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Love taking on challenges and finding creative solutions
  • Are very organized and can effectively manage competing priorities
  • Can communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and personalities, both verbally and in writing
  • Are discreet in handling sensitive and confidential information

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation at Jordan Park includes a base salary, discretionary year-end bonus, benefits and other perks. We apply a total reward philosophy when determining compensation terms.

The expected base salary for this role in New York, New York will range from $100,000 - $110,000 per year commensurate with experience, job-related skills, relevant education, licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
