Continuous Improvement (CI) is a new way of working New York Life has adopted to help enhance the customer and employee experience. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, development, directing, coordinating, and implementation activities pertaining to CI initiatives and projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide oversight and direction on key projects to ensure project and program objectives are met, including executing projects on time, within budget, and meeting overall program objectives.
  • Ability to coordinate complex projects across the enterprise and among all levels of the organization.
  • Identify and manage fulfillment of project resource needs.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion, including regular team updates on project execution (e.g., project status meetings).
  • Developing and managing end-to-end project plans for multiple strategic initiatives.
  • Accountable for partnering with the business lead to ensure successful project delivery, on time and on budget.
  • Organizing status update meetings and holding workstreams accountable to meeting agreed upon deliverables.
  • Analyzing and assisting in documenting cost/benefit of potential options related to projects.
  • Establishing timelines, milestones, defining implementation dates, and managing dependencies with regular communication to business leaders and project team members ensuring requirements can be met.
  • Managing resource requirements to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Strong active listening and critical thinking skills.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification preferred.
  • 2+ years' related experience required.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Summarizing data and insights in Tableau dashboards and narrative the story through PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to deliver executive level presentations.
  • Self-starter, high energy, hardworking entrepreneurial attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Sound business judgment to support evaluation of options and cost-benefit trade-offs.
  • Strong operational background to ensure good decision making.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work with limited direction and some autonomy.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $77,500-$132,500

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
