Our legacy goes back to the 1960's and we manage over 70 programs designed to help those who need it most.You'll join a team of talented and passionate people who are motivated to make our community as strong and resilient as possible.POSITION SUMMARY:Senior Center Site Manager responsibilities include management of all aspects of Senior Center programs, including community dining, activities, education, wellness, and exercise; assistance with public relations and community development projects. If applicable to the respective site, management of the Meals on Wheels Program and assistance with outreach luncheons.PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Conducts day-to-day operations of Senior Center including community dining, activities and programs. If applicable to the site, also oversees day-to-day operations of MOW and RTS Programs, and provides assistance with outreach luncheons.
  • Maintains accurate records and submits timely reports.
  • Supervises daily operation of the community dining meal program (and Meals on Wheels Program if applicable), including an accurate system for reservations and meal counts, reporting procedures, and meal and supply requests.
  • Oversees daily operation of transportation program, if applicable to the site, including performance of safety checks/procedures, performance documentation, outreach, vehicle maintenance, and scheduling.
  • Compliance with health, safety and portion control standards.
  • Acclimation to our ServTracker software program which will assist in tracking meal reservations, weekly activities, attendance, and MOW routes.
  • Acts as an advocate for older adults seeking or in need of assistance.
  • Collects and makes daily deposit of site donations. Completes cash reports.
  • Interviews all site participants to determine eligibility.
  • Maintains communication with outreach luncheon coordinators/volunteers and helps with paperwork and deposits when assigned.
  • Attends trainings, meetings, and workshops as required.

  • Maintain professional boundaries with all current, past, and prospective clients, and maintain the confidentiality of clients and staff per CAPBM policy and procedure. Adhere strictly to the confidentiality of clients, co-workers, and internal business information.
  • Present a professional and positive image as a representative of CAPBM.
  • Follow established policies and procedures and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with the supervisor regarding workflow, problems, suggestions, etc.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment; and attend team and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Be punctual for scheduled work, use time appropriately, and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal errors.
RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:
  • Three years of experience in social work, administration, or management, including supervision of staff.
  • Knowledge of community support services.
  • Some supervisory experience and the ability to work effectively with older adults.
  • Ability to coordinate numerous and diverse activities, programs, and recreational trips.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn ServTracker, our program tracking software.
  • Some budgeting or financial management experience.
Education:
  • Associate's degree in human services or related field. Education requirement may be substituted with additional years of related experience; to be determined by the director of Elder Services.
License/Certification:
  • Successful completion of criminal record check.
  • Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation for required travel.
