Job Description :
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, evaluate, and implement cost-saving improvements related to processes, including waste reduction, cycle-time reduction, raw material qualification, scale-up, and shelf life enhancements.
- Identify and implement cycle-time improvements such as reducing batch process times, increasing continuous process throughput, and optimizing pre/post-batch cleanout times to generate additional capacity.
- Explore and implement energy reduction and sustainability improvements at the site.
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to achieve team-based goals and objectives.
- Assist in balancing workloads and provide backup support within the process improvement and engineering teams as needed.
- Contribute to the assessment and implementation of new business opportunities, investigating methods, equipment, processes, feasibility, costs, capital requirements, and initial pricing.
- Support internal and external process engineering-related inquiries, including customer visits (infrequent travel may be required).
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely information as requested, including monthly status reports on assignments.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, co-ops, and interns in process improvement engineering activities.
- Participate in PHA/MOC processes, providing written direction, training, and support.
- Coordinate contractor activities as needed.
- Ensure effective communication across departments to ensure the success of team initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
