ResponsibilitiesPURPOSE OF POSITION:Responsible for designing, implementing, administrating, and managing an Enterprise multi-cloud environment (including private cloud) MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, implement, and maintain the company's enterprise cloud infrastructure strategyCollaborate with development teams for infrastructure provisioningCoordinate and communicate with other IS groups such as security, support desk, application delivery, etc. to deliver value to the business through secure, reliable, high-performing systems.Analyze and evaluate the performance and usage of the cloud infrastructure systems and provide reports and recommendations for improvement.Assist with managing infrastructure costs and budgets Coordinate and plan with teams to ensure infrastructure is highly available and recoverableOversee data backup and recovery procedures for all systems.Stay updated on the latest trends and developments with relevant infrastructure technologies; explore and recommend new opportunities and solutions for the company.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree in related discipline strongly preferred, but consideration may be given to an exceptional candidate with 8 years of relevant experience.At least 4 years relevant work experience installing, managing, designing, and troubleshooting infrastructure at an enterprise scaleProven Server Administration experience with Windows or Linux SystemsOTHER PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with Cloud Infrastructure TechnologiesFamiliar with automation and scripting technologies used with infrastructure technologies Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar technologiesExperience with storage and network technologiesExperience with managing data backup and recoveryExperience with Managing Technology CostsAble to draw on research and experience to resolve complex problemsAbility to take ownership of issues and see them through to resolutionOTHER POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills requiredParticipate in continuous improvement eventsMaintain company confidentialityInteraction with teams helping with requirements and implementationsWrite system and process documentationProvide user support for Altec associates via phone, email and in personWillingness to work outside standard business hours to resolves issues or complete special projectsTrack and maintain constant communication with the customer from the beginning to the end of any established case, issue, or concernRemain highly adaptable All other duties as assigned.
