About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager in Middle Market Banking as part of the Northeast Division Credit Portfolio Management team. This key position is responsible for credit portfolio management to meet the long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance for commercial banking clients. Serves as a key member of a client's deal team. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.comIn this role, you will:Actively manage, maintain, and grow a middle market portfolio including underwriting, origination, documentation and on-going monitoring; all in adherence with applicable credit policies, procedures and compliance requirementsWork with clients and prospects to understand complex credit needs and represent the bank in developing and maintaining client relationshipsProvide recommendations and write credit reports based on analysis of historical and projected financial performance, assessment of key risks and mitigants, management strength, and structural considerations. Identify opportunity for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional areaCollaborate and consult with senior management, functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholdersTrain and mentor analysts and junior portfolio managersRequired Qualifications:4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education4+ years of commercial real estate investment underwriting experienceDesired Qualifications:4+ years of underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group creditBachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or FinanceAbility to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis and communicate findings in a concise mannerMicrosoft Excel experience including financial modelingAbility to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environmentStrong risk management and compliance skillsSolid knowledge and understanding of credit policy, loan servicing, and group underwriting requirementsExperience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirementsKnowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and servicesExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyJob Expectations:Ability to travel up to 10% of the timeAbility to work a hybrid work schedule Position can report to any of the posted locations@RWF22Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
