A division of the firm, focusing specifically on the energy markets, is looking for experienced Analysts to join them as they continue to grow. The team engages in trading across a wide range of energy commodities, including natural gas, oil and renewables, covering the North American and European Markets. They are keen to speak with motivated individuals with experience in these asset classes.

This role brings with it significant development potential, with the ultimate goal to enable the individual to progress into a Trade Execution role. You will be a vital member of the team, assisting in the production and delivery of an integrated and comprehensive analysis offering.

Your role:

  • Contribute to researching, analyzing, and articulating all factors influencing the anticipated future value of Energy in North American/European markets.
  • Produce concise, top-quality, and precise charts, presentations, and reports that empower core readers to make well-informed trading, risk management, and investment decisions.
  • Identify and anticipate emerging trends proactively, leveraging a robust understanding of energy market trading, modelling, and forecasting to predict market movements whenever possible.
  • Stay updated on evolving markets, encompassing price shifts, trade patterns, behavior, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics affecting energy markets.

Experience/skills required:

  • Prior Commodities experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Python and/or VBA.
  • Proven track record of meeting challenging objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
