Electrical Control Engineer
Lone Star is looking for a Senior level Electrical Controls Engineer to join our engineering department. An Electrical Controls Engineer designs, programs, develops, and supervises construction and testing of all electrical control systems to integrate into various processes and machinery. They may be responsible for the startup and technical support of hardware and software they design.
Mid to senior Expectation: We would like to have a candidate with extensive programming experience to write a control narrative based on a project, then write the PLC software and its development as well as part of the Controls Group.

Key Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured in three key areas: a product development process-based focus, next generation products designs that prioritize enhanced performance over the current and the ability to prototype and test real world performance and trouble shoot startups.
Job Responsibilities
Development and maintenance of Automation Products and Projects including
• Coding (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams)
• User Interface HMI creation
• Acceptance and Commissioning Procedures
• Automation Documentation
• Project Management and Documentation
• Revision Control
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science Degree or greater in or Electrical Engineering, Electrical or Automation Technology or EE Engineering Technology
Great attitude and willingness to learn and grow
Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Demonstrated ability to work with a broad team of engineers, marketing, Sales
Creativity for new ideas without the fear of failure
Ability and experience in building skills and supporting the creativity of others
Preferred Qualifications
· Rockwell Software
· Siemens
· Phoenix Contact
· Modicon
Testing and commissioning experience
Previous experience is required (5+ years)
Support and streamline existing product and develop new product

· Less than 50% But home every weekend
Compensation Range: $120,000 – $200,000 (Salary ranges based on relevant experience)
This position is not remote. It will be located at 8883 West Monroe Rd, Houston Texas 77061.
