**Senior Cook | Food Commissary**

The position of the Senior Cook is given an opportunity to work with a Michelin Star Chef. The position is responsible for working of the culinary stations on our innovative culinary production site under the supervision of the Sous chef and Production Chef daily. The Senior Cook should be an expert at each of the stations while having a working knowledge of all products under Maison Kayser recipes and standards.

* Ensure that quality and quantity of food meet standards for meal patterns established

* Handle the day to day production needs of an assigned station

* Receive and inspect incoming product for quality and quantity, and ensure prompt and proper storage

* Assist cooks with the set up and breakdown of stations while helping maintain a clean space

* Assist with inventory checks

* Ensure that equipment is maintained as outlined in Maison Kaysers health and safety regulations

* Ensure that all perishable items are stored quickly and efficiently to avoid unnecessary waste

* Communicate issues related to quality and quantity of production levels to Production Chef or Executive Culinary Chef

* Comply with and fully understand the laws and regulation regarding food safety, health and safety, hygiene, and sanitation

* Availability to work shifts of 6:45am 3:15 pm, may include weekends and holidays

* Must have knowledge and experience in all aspects of the kitchen

* Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

* Must have a can do work ethic

* Ability to communicate effectively

* Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

**:**

* Minimum of 2 3 years experience in a high-volume culinary environment

* Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred
