About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to provide strategic legal advice on regulatory and transactional matters, with a focus on ensuring compliance with government health care programs and state insurance laws. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on business strategies that meet legal requirements, particularly in the context of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, and other relevant health care programs. This role demands a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 10 years' legal experience, including at least 2 years in health law, and a strong record of success, preferably with a national law firm. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement initiatives that support the company's contracting needs and provide practical legal advice on a range of contracting matters.Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree, and be a member in good standing of the bar. Essential skills include the ability to research and analyze complex legal issues, manage legal matters with minimal oversight, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. The role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual with a high degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, including those with a focus on health care, and a strong interest in continuous quality improvement in the delivery of legal services are also preferred. The Senior Counsel will be expected to function as a strategic partner, providing thoughtful and timely legal advice on matters of importance to the company.
