Apply today!These positions can close at any time.The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for THREE, Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity Specialists (APPSW), Senior Cyberspace Capability Developers (GG-2210-13), to work at the 90th Cyberspace Operations Squadron (COS), at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), in San Antonio, Texas.This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.Salary ($129,239 - $176,632) based on experienceRelocation expenses may be paidRecruitment incentive of up to 25% of salary may be available based on experience.Qualifications/Requirements:In this position you will apply advanced computer programming, software engineering best practices, and cyber security principles for the development, assessment, and fielding of Air Force (AF) and Joint cyberspace tools and weapons. To serve as a software development expert and as a technical leader for a team of computer programmers to develop and field new and upgraded Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) cyber mission systems, weapons, and sensors by providing leading-edge development, assessments, integration, tactics, and techniques.Must be a U.S. CitizenMust be able to obtain and maintain a “Top Secret” Security clearance with eligibility to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).Must be able obtain and maintain the appropriate Information Assurance certification within 6-months of assigned duties.This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated PositionThis position requires at a minimum, a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.This highly technical position requires the incumbent to complete special training requirements and maintain job qualification as defined by the work role(s).Thorough knowledge of software coding and agile software development techniques, computer networking and protocols, modeling/simulation, complex data structures, computer programming including knowledge of interpreted and compiled computer languages and low-level languages e.g., assembly, operating systems, cyber security concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.Knowledge and understanding of national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to cyber security and security procedures to maintain control of classified material.Skill in writing code in a currently supported programming language (e.g., C, C++, Python, and Assembly).Skill in applying project and program management techniques to manage complex issues or problems and modify standard practices and techniques to solve complex interrelated problems.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in order to produce highly technical reports, position papers, and briefings; resolve conflicts based on mature judgment and experience; effectively negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relationships.Ability to develop secure software according to secure software deployment methodologies, tools, and practices and tailor code analysis for application-specific concerns, while foreseeing the impact of changing technology.HIGHLY DESIRED:A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or similar field of study and related experience required of the position.
