The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large-scale data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management capabilities, experience in handling complex schedules, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires close collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that all phases of construction meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting for large-scale data center construction projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, owners' representatives, and subcontractors.
  • Develop and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, and performance metrics in alignment with client expectations.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to the project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee procurement and negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and provide guidance to the construction teams.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, change orders, and other necessary documentation to project stakeholders.
  • Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the commissioning, handover, and closeout phases to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the data center or mission-critical construction sectors.
  • Proven experience leading complex construction projects from concept through completion.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and construction drawings.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working as an owners representative is a plus.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Certifications:

  • PMP or similar project management certification (preferred).
  • OSHA 30 certification (required).
  • LEED certification or similar (a plus).
