Job Description:

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor's degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown.

The Technology Solutions department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking applications for a Senior Desktop Support Technician. The Technician must be able to provide college-wide technical services and support for desktop devices, classroom technology and software applications. The Technician should have the ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Grand Strand campus desktop support team to include project management.

Advertised Salary:

$38,985 (Minimum)- $55,559(Midpoint)

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Must obtain CompTIA A+ certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software, printers, AV equipment and related information technology devices. Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions; establish and maintain working relationships with users and Information Technology staff; follow oral and written instructions; and communicate effectively.
