Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking forSenior Developer and Solutions Architect (.Net / Python / Microservices / Kafka)Permanent position with competitive compensation package (base is 150-170K), excellent benefits, and target bonus.This is hybrid commute position with up to 2/3 days per week in the office.Senior Developer and Solutions Architectresponsible for design, development and architecture of web applications and various system components including but not limited to web modules, web services and database programs.Will take complete ownership of applications/tasks assigned to them in terms of ongoing development as well as system testing, change management and production support for the assigned applications.Responsibilities:Systems Design, Development and SupportSystem and Requirements AnalysisDesign and development of software applications used in various areas of the bank (such as Customer Reporting, Payment Systems, etc.)Systems Design & Architecture using well accepted design patterns and frameworksDocumentation of technical specs and process flowsMigration planningSystem Testing: DUT, SIT and UAT (Planning, execution and evaluation)Issues resolution – use of tools such as JIRA and TFS for issue lifecycle managementProduction Release preparation and coordination with server-adminsOther ResponsibilitiesNo direct reports but this person should be able to run small to medium projects and support other developers and team membersCoordinate with resources from other teams that are necessary to complete projects and implement or upgrade hardware, operating systems, application software, etc.Undertake complete ownership of assigned tasks and manage own priorities and time allocation with minimal daily supervision.Technical Skills:Business Knowledge and SkillsAt least 10 years of prior work experience with at least 3 or more in the banking sectorTechnical SkillsCORE – MUST HAVEExpert level knowledge of.Net technologies such as C#, VB.Net, .Net CoreExperience working with event/queue-based processes such as Kafka & ActiveMQIn depth experience with web programming (HTML 5, JavaScript, XML/JSON/YAML, SOAP/Restful Web Services, WCF, MVC, AJAX, JQuery, Node JS, Angular, etc.)Strong experience working with Python scripts for data processing and test automationDevOps experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub/ GitLab, etc.Deep understanding of MS SQL Server databases and data processingSolid understanding of Object-Oriented programming and design patternsMulti-threading applications for high volume processingAbility to troubleshoot production issues under pressure and in a timely manner.Ability to analyze and document business and system process flows.Strong understanding of Windows Server, IIS and Windows/Linux Security principlesNICE TO HAVEDevelopment experience with various Azure offerings & servicesWorking experience with OpenShift container platformWorking experience with MuleSoft toolsReporting Services such as Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Power BI etc.Experience with Python scripts and/or ETL Tools for data processingDeep understanding of both Windows and Unix/Linux based systemsOther Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field;Ability to work with end users, technical staff and management as necessary.Strong documentation and verbal/written communication skills.Strong multi-tasking and analytical skills;Please email your resume orUse this link to apply directly: email: [email protected] ALL our Jobs: c# azure javascript iis kafka activeMQ restful jquery angular soap mvc wcf devops jenkins sql mulesoft openshift
