Perm/FT NYC (hybrid onsite) Job ID# 49947 Position summary: Our client is the only private sector operator of core payments systems in the United States. They clear and settle nearly $2 trillion in U.S. dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and Wire volume. Their Real Time Payments (RTP) network currently includes over 500 banks and credit unions and currently clears and settles approximately one million transactions per day on average. RTP volume is rapidly growing and our clint is continuing to work with financial institutions to develop innovative products and solutions for both domestic and international payments. The Strategic Product Engineering Team supports RTP and other new products. This position is for a Senior Developer/Team Lead for Strategic Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining RTP and other applications. A key aspect of the role will be to support the migration to Cloud based computing. Qualifications required: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or other related field5+ years related IT experience in analysis, design, development, documentation, implementing and testing of software systems in Java, Spring, J2EE App servers on Red Hat Linux, UNIX or AIXExperience with complex system design and evaluating and proposing alternative software designsThorough knowledge of secure development practicesExperience in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologiesSound RDBMS concepts and SQL skills (e.g. for troubleshooting)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProfessional demeanor and ability to work effectively with other staff within the organizationHighly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starter.
