Our client, a leading electrical contracting company known for high-quality commercial and residential electrical projects, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a candidate with 8-12 years of experience managing electrical projects with an electrical contractor and a strong background in both commercial and residential construction. Position Summary:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead electrical construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget. You will oversee all project activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance, and will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and team members to deliver successful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to define project requirements and develop plans that meet all specifications.
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring that projects meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage project budgets and track costs to prevent overruns, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and other regulatory standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 8-12 years of experience managing electrical projects for an electrical contracting company, with a focus on commercial and residential construction.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and electrical construction methods.
- Proficiency with project management software, such as Procore, MS Project, or equivalent, and familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Commitment to safety best practices and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
