Hybrid schedule - three days in, two days out!Location: Greater New York City Metropolitan areaOur client, a fast growing net-zero energy engineering company is seeking a Sr. Energy Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will have strong engineering knowledge, be capable of developing creative solutions, and have strong problem-solving skills.The engineer will lead a project team that identifies and calculates energy and water conservation savings. They will also manage the development of scope, price, incentives, tax implications and savings for clients. Responsibilities:- Conduct on-site assessments in prospective buildings and develop engineering solutions to help clients achieve goals.- Calculate energy & water savings solutions, and create strategic financial plans over the life cycle of ECMs.-Define scopes and pricing for the selected energy conservation measures.- Prepare sales proposal content to describe these solutions.-Assist in the sales presentation.- Commissioning of all the installed solutions.- Analyze all relevant data to validate the predicted savings as per IPMVP standards, ultimately responsible for the guaranteed energy savings.- Experience in service, maintenance, repair, and replacement costs over life cycle of ECMs.Job RequirementsQualifications:- Holds at least a B.S. 4-year degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or equivalent.- ASHRAE Level III and preconstruction experience.- Preferred one or more technology and industry certifications (CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED/AP etc.)- P.E certification desired.Experience:- Building services knowledge such as mechanical & HVAC, Building Automation System, electrical & lighting.- Installed values of projects including sample project.- Estimation of annual energy savings.- High-level Excel calculations.- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.- Proficient in Salesforce- Advanced knowledge of energy modeling/best practices/codes (ASHRAE, IESNA, NEC etc.)- Experience in seeing projects through implementation.- Demonstrated experience in performing savings calculations for energy upgrades- Installed values of projects including sample project.- Ability to travel and perform after hours work on occasion when needed.
