This small but mighty team will work across the entire @ Work platform used by American Express Commercial customers around the world. We want someone with strong technical skills and creativity. You should hold the technical quality bar high, enjoy solving tough problems, and working with new technologies. You should not be shy about sharing your ideas and be obsessive about user experience.  The @ Work Tiger team is charged with automating the CI/CD pipeline; creating a baseline for quality, testing, and automation; and building out observability and monitoring across the entire stack. Once this is in place, Tiger Team will work on proofs of concept and special projects to advance the evolution of the technology stack.If you have the talent and desire to develop innovative products and services at a rapid pace, work as part of a customer centric organization, serving our customers seamlessly across the globe through various channels, join our team!Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware DevelopmentPerform technical aspects of software developmentFunction as a leader on a software engineering team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation)Lead code reviews and automated testingDebug software components and identify code defects for remediationLeads the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across test, integration, and production environments.Empower teams to automate deployments in test or production environmentsEmpower teams to automatically scale applications based on demand projectionsEnsure team adheres to security and regulatory best practicesLeadershipTakes accountability for the success of the team achieving their goalsDrives the team's strategy and prioritizes initiativesInfluence team members by challenging status quo, demonstrating risk taking, and implementing creative ideasBe a productivity multiplier for your team by analyzing your workflow and contributing to enable the team to be more effective, productive, and demonstrating faster and stronger results.Mentor and guide team members to success within the team.Minimum Qualifications:6+ years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experienceExtensive hands-on experience with the design and development of complex, large scale distributed applications and products that require a deep understanding of architecturalpatterns, software development best practices, relational and non-relational databases, and automated testingBachelor's Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience.Hands-on coding experience in the following technology environment - React, Redux, Angular, NodeJS, GraphQL, REST based APIs, Java, Couchbase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Akamai, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft AzureExperience with Scrum, Kanban, or another Agile application development methodologyDemonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing technical professionals.Excellent verbal and written communications skills required, with ability to create and deliver effective presentations to upper management and architects across the organization.Preferred QualificationsExperience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, WebDriver IO, Karate, Junit, JMeter, LoadRunner, PostMan, WireMock, and others Experience with logging and observability tools such as DynaTrace, DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic, and othersExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, GitHub CoPilot, Jenkins, Sonar, and others · Experience with Cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.Advanced degreeQualificationsSalary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
