Senior Engineer (Macro Technology) – New York – Hedgefund – Hybrid – TC $350k

We have partnered again with one of our longest standing clients to date to assist in their search for a talented Senior Engineer to join their world class Macro engineering team. In this team you will be helping create an elite world class data platform to support and enhance the portfolio managers and other teams. If you're looking for a developer role that could play a huge part in their success story for years to come, then this is the role for you.

The role:

Design and develop a next generation data platform from ingestion through to ETL.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams along with working very close with stakeholders.

Lead projects from concept to deployment, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Experiences:

Proven experience in backend development with solid expertise in Python.

Track record in designing and building data platforms including and batch and streaming ETL, warehouses.

Expertise with working within a marco trading business (management, risk, pricing)

Familiar with performance tuning and optimisation – docker/Kubernetes.
