The Senior Director will lead a team of corporate finance professionals and act as the primary finance leader responsible for partnering with the Digital & Technology team.

The right leader for this role will have extensive experience in financial management, including operating and capital expense planning and budget management, which will enable them to drive significant improvement in the organization's financial planning and management processes. Experience with product development budgeting and knowledge of Agile software development practices will be huge assets to drive changes that align to an Agile way of working including, but not limited to, Agile team budgeting and capacity planning, and shifting financial planning focus from projects to products.

This role requires exceptional influencing ability to convince subordinates, peers, internal customers and stakeholders across the company to implement practices consistent with the transformations taking place in Digital & Technology and Finance. This position will be a key contributor to global technology effort and will have a high level of visibility with executives, both within and outside technology function. Success will require a deep understanding of both corporate finance and technology concepts, extensive collaboration across global organizations, and highly effective leadership skills.

The Senior Director will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, capital planning, management reporting and partnering with technology leadership to support high-impact initiatives. Reporting enhancements will include establishing KPI's to measure the success of technology investments and increasing transparency into the operational effectiveness of our technology teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists Executive Management with setting direction for the business; seeks out and communicates actionable steps that can be taken in the future to help meet the financial goals of the business.
  • Directs and oversees budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning processes as well as standard management reporting.
  • Establishes overall departmental priorities and ensures that all deadlines are met.
  • Works closely with operations to support other initiatives in the business which could include but is not limited to: pricing, global reporting, strategic analytics with a focus on improving margins and identifying opportunities in the business for growth.
  • Ensures complete knowledge of monthly results.
  • Directs staff in preparation of results presentation to senior finance management and business leaders.
  • Presents results to senior business leaders.
  • Defines and directs special projects to advance financial analysis and quality of reports to support management decisions.
  • Assesses staffing levels and skill sets to evaluate department needs.
  • Identifies and provides development opportunities for staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manages the planning, organization, and controls for largest functional area. Will be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports, and must coordinate technology reporting and forecasting with segment led FP&A teams. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff, recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in a business-related field; Finance or Accounting degree is preferred. Requires a minimum of 10 years related experience to include at least five years in a management role.

    CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

    CPA or MBA (graduate degree) qualifications are helpful, but not required.
